Operational Excellence leads strategic initiatives for GTS and enables its strategy and business operational objectives. Here, you'll get the chance to grow and thrive through opportunities uncommon in scale and scope, pursue innovative ideas, and advance professionally alongside some of the brightest minds in the industry.Position SummaryThe Director, Compass Implementation Lead will be responsible for driving the adoption and execution of the BMS operating system vision and strategy in line with business expectations. Oversees and collaborates with sites, functions, and the greater Operational Excellence (OpEx) network on developing and implementing strategies that foster a culture of continuous improvement. This role is key in developing and executing continuous improvement initiatives, strategic scorecards, dashboards, best practices, and systems deployment. Critical to success is working with leaders across GPS to meet business objectives and build foundations for sustainable, flawless execution and performance improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesCoach sites and site leaders in developing and executing COMPASS Roadmaps leveraging the BMS operating system to deliver results and mature an Operational Excellence culture.Apply Continuous Improvement and Lean tools to improve performance, reduce waste, and drive productivity across GPS sites and functions.Support operational changes and promote a data-driven decision-making culture.Communicate complex data analysis clearly and concisely to stakeholders, embedding an unbiased, fact-based approach.Develop organizational capability plans tailored to OpEx needs.Create comprehensive data collection, performance reporting, and review mechanisms.Design analytics solutions including data transformation, visualization, statistical analysis, and modeling.Establish SMART KPIs to meet safety, quality, service, cost, and efficiency goals.Define, optimize, and maintain end-to-end business processes.Lead workshops and projects utilizing Kaizen, DMAIC, PDCA, and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.Partner with leadership to identify opportunities, implement process improvements, and drive initiatives.Identify and eliminate inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and waste to improve productivity and reduce costs.Deploy governance and visual management systems.Engage in root cause analysis and problem solving.Optimize labor, facility, and space utilization.Identify meaningful metrics and KPIs.Provide training, coaching, and build organizational capability for continuous improvement.Maintain relationships across functions to facilitate process improvements and measurement system implementation.Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies.Implement innovative solutions to enhance business performance.Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.Travel up to 50% as required.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Engineering, Management, Project Management, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.Minimum of 12 years in operations, project management, or related fields.At least 5 years in OpEx, ideally leading deployment of an operating system globally.Financial acumen to develop business cases.Proven success managing complex projects and driving operational excellence.Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.Proficiency in project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or PMP.Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.Experience in the pharmaceutical industry or similar.Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt preferred.Leadership skills to make decisions balancing speed, quality, risk, and patient focus.The compensation varies by location, with a range from $204,030 to $247,200 in Massachusetts, and from $190,680 to $231,100 in New Jersey, plus incentives and stock opportunities.
