PE Global are delighted to be working with a very good client of ours who are a leading tier 1 Building and Fit Out contractor, head office based in Dublin 17. We are currently seeking an experienced Design Manager to join their expanding team for two large scale residential developments in Dublin.We currently have 2 openings for Design Managers, one project based in Dublin 3, and the second project based in Dublin 15. You will be based on one project only, please specify if you have a preference of locationReporting to the Project Manager:Key ResponsibilitiesManage and coordinate the design process across multiple disciplines including architects, structural engineers, MEP consultants and specialist subcontractors.Review and monitor design programmes to ensure design deliverables are issued on time to support procurement and construction schedules.Chair and coordinate design team meetings, ensuring actions are tracked and design queries are resolved in a timely manner.Review drawings, specifications and technical submissions to ensure compliance with project requirements, building regulations and client specifications.Identify and manage design risks and buildability issues early in the project lifecycle and work with the project team to develop practical solutions.Liaise closely with the Project Manager, site management teams and commercial teams to ensure design information supports construction activities.Coordinate the flow of technical information between consultants, subcontractors and internal project stakeholders.Manage and track RFIs, technical queries and design changes, ensuring clear documentation and communication.Assist with the value engineering process, identifying opportunities to improve cost efficiency while maintaining design quality and performance.Support the procurement of subcontractors and specialist packages by reviewing technical proposals and ensuring alignment with design intent.Ensure design documentation is fully coordinated prior to construction, reducing clashes and delays on site.Maintain clear records of design decisions, approvals and revisions throughout the project lifecycle.Work collaboratively with the client and stakeholders to ensure the design meets project objectives, programme milestones and quality expectations.RequirementsCandidates should have a degree level qualification in engineering, construction management or related subject, while post graduate qualifications and/or membership of a relevant professional institute such as Engineers Ireland is desirable.RewardsAn attractive rewards package, including car allowance, pension scheme, professional subscriptions and other benefits, including opportunities for additional responsibility and career development, will be available to the successful candidates.
