The Role
To support Cubic Telecom's business, the Cubic Telecom Technology Department has built a state-of-the-art platform and core network which supports our customers across the globe.
Due to large subscriber base growth and associated requirements for increased capacity, Cubic Telecom is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Project Manager to drive optimal Technical Delivery.
In this role, the Senior Technical Project Manager will focus on Technical Delivery excellence within the Technology department, owning cross-department process improvement initiatives, leading as a change agent, measuring the impact of change initiatives and using data to guide decision-making.
They will lead in the use of key performance indicators (KPIs) and other metrics to track progress and demonstrate the value of change initiatives, using strong influencing skills.
Responsibilities
Aligning with several domains to develop into an expert point of contact for those domains
Develop an understanding of industry trends and introducing and evangelising new ideas
Managing the interdependencies and flow of all work across many teams
Identifying, owning and driving short & long term initiatives across the company
Leading in driving lean principles and continuous improvement, using measurement and analysis to guide decision-making.
Identifying, mitigating and communicating risks in projects & programmes to senior leaders and customers, and driving for ad-hoc delivery issue resolution
Working with existing Technical Delivery team to improve overall team technical delivery practices
Lead cross-functional engagement within Cubic
Requirements
6+ years' technical project management experience, with 10+ years industry experience preferably with an engineering background
Proven experience in Lean and Agile Methodologies (Lean, Kanban, and other Agile frameworks to optimise workflow and minimise waste)
Expertise in Software Delivery
Adept at driving incremental change, with a focus on continuous improvement.
Experience with setting, measuring, and driving Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) to align project outcomes with organisational goals.
Ability to grasp complex technical issues and make informed decisions.
Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and guide a technical delivery team
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and challenges
Experience using Jira to track projects and document processes advantageous
A solid understanding of connectivity and software platforms would be a benefit
A strong background in knowledge sharing and working collaboratively with small teams
Excellent spoken and written English
New hires at Cubic3 are required to work onsite five days a week during their six-month probation period to get to know the company, their team, and our ways of working.
After probation, we offer a flexible arrangement of up to eight work-from-home days per month, provided it aligns with business needs and performance standards.
