Salary: €140,000 - €180,000 + bonus
A globally distributed technology and services organisation is appointing a Chief Information Security Officer to take ownership of security strategy, risk, and execution across a complex, cloud-first environment.
This role sits at the executive level and spans enterprise security, product security, data protection, and customer assurance. The remit covers modern infrastructure, SaaS platforms, integration-heavy workflows, and a growing dependency on automation and AI-driven systems.
The Role
You'll define how security is designed, operated, and governed across the organisation. The environment blends public cloud, internal platforms, third-party services, and client-facing systems, requiring a CISO who understands both architectural decisions and operational realities.
You'll work closely with engineering, infrastructure, legal, and commercial leadership to ensure security controls scale with the business and support delivery rather than slow it down.
Key Responsibilities
1. Own enterprise security strategy across infrastructure, applications, and data
2. Set security architecture and control standards for cloud, SaaS, and hybrid environments
3. Lead governance, risk management, and audit readiness across multiple jurisdictions
4. Oversee data protection, identity, access control, and secure integration patterns
5. Guide security design for automation, AI-enabled services, and platform modernisation
6. Act as executive lead for incident response and major security events
7. Translate technical risk into clear, actionable insight for the board and senior leadership
8. Build and lead a senior security team and specialist partners
Experience & Background
9. Senior security leadership experience (CISO, Head of Security, VP Security, or equivalent)
10. Strong technical grounding in cloud infrastructure, identity, and modern security architecture
11. Experience operating ISO-aligned security programmes (. ISO 27001) at scale
12. Practical understanding of SaaS security, third-party risk, and platform integration
13. Comfortable working across distributed teams and global operating models
14. Proven ability to balance control, resilience, and delivery speed
