Role
We are looking for a Head of Group Maintenance to join our team. This strategic leader will oversee preventive maintenance programs, manage budgets, and drive sustainability initiatives across all locations. The ideal candidate has proven expertise in managing large‑scale maintenance operations, strong leadership skills, and a passion for delivering excellence in both guest experience and operational performance.

Qualifications
* Proven senior leadership experience in multi‑site maintenance or facilities management, ideally within hospitality, retail or property sectors.
* Strong technical knowledge of building systems, including M&E, HVAC, fire safety and statutory compliance.
* Excellent people management and communication skills.
* Track record in budget management, supplier negotiations and contract oversight.
* Willingness to travel regularly across Staycity sites.
* Strategic thinking and strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
* Hands‑on leadership style with a practical, can‑do attitude.
* Chartered Engineer status or equivalent professional qualification.
* Experience in sustainability initiatives and energy efficiency projects.
* Familiarity with CAFM systems to optimise maintenance planning and reporting.
Responsibilities
* Define and implement a group‑wide maintenance strategy that supports growth, operational excellence and brand standards across multiple sites.
* Advise senior leadership on technical, compliance and property‑related matters.
* Drive sustainability initiatives to reduce energy consumption and extend asset lifecycles.
* Act as bridge between live development projects and ongoing maintenance operations.
* Oversee and monitor maintenance operations across all properties, ensuring consistent high standards.
* Develop and enforce preventive and reactive maintenance programs.
* Ensure all properties meet compliance in health, safety, fire safety, building regulations and statutory obligations.
* Establish group‑wide KPIs and performance reporting.
* Lead, mentor and develop regional and local maintenance teams.
* Design and implement training frameworks.
* Manage annual maintenance budgets.
* Oversee supplier and contractor management.
* Lead capital expenditure planning and asset replacements.
* Manage external contractors and service providers.
