About the Role:We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineering Technician with a strong background in civil and structural engineering to join our growing team in Ireland. The successful candidate will bring over 10 years of hands-on experience in technical design and drafting, with proven expertise in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM workflows.As a Senior Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the design, documentation, and delivery of a diverse range of projects, including commercial, residential, infrastructure, and industrial developments. You will work closely with engineers, architects, and project stakeholders to produce high-quality drawings and models that meet client and regulatory standards.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and develop detailed civil and structural engineering drawings, models, and documentation using AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software.Coordinate and collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams, including architects, MEP engineers, and contractors.Interpret engineering and architectural sketches and convert them into accurate technical drawings and 3D models.Assist in the preparation of planning and construction documentation in compliance with Irish building regulations and industry best practices.Perform site visits, surveys, and inspections when required.Manage drawing registers and ensure documentation is maintained and issued in a timely manner.Mentor junior technicians and provide technical guidance and quality control.Support the implementation of BIM standards and contribute to digital design workflows and efficiencies.Liaise with local authorities, clients, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.Requirements:Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar civil and structural technician role within consultancy or construction environments.Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit (essential); experience with Civil 3D and Navisworks is advantageous.Strong understanding of structural detailing, including concrete, steel, and timber construction.Familiarity with Irish building codes, TGD, and construction standards.Excellent technical drawing and documentation skills.Solid understanding of BIM processes and experience working within BIM Level 2 environments.Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.Ability to manage workload across multiple projects and deadlines.A relevant qualification (e.g., Diploma or Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering Technology or equivalent).Membership of Engineering Ireland or a similar professional body is a plus.What We Offer:Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.Flexible and hybrid working options.Opportunity to work on high-profile projects across Ireland and internationally.Supportive team environment and opportunities for career progression.Ongoing CPD and training initiatives.Pension scheme and other employee benefits.To Apply:Please submit your CV and a cover letter outlining your experience and interest in the role.Job Type: Full-timePay: €39,328.64-€65,831.71 per yearBenefits:Bike to work schemeCompany pensionFlexitimeOn-site parkingSick payExperience:Technical drawing: 10 years (required)Language:English (required)Work authorisation:Ireland (required)Work Location: In person
