We are currently recruiting Healthcare Assistants to work in nursing homes across Ireland. These roles are ideal for individuals who enjoy working with older adults and want to make a positive impact on their lives.
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the physical and emotional well-being of our residents. This is an opportunity to join a dynamic team that values compassion, empathy, and exceptional patient care.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a care setting, but this is not essential. What is crucial is that you possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a compassionate and patient nature.
You will work closely with nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver person-centred care and promote independence. Your duties will include assisting residents with daily personal care, such as bathing, dressing, and toileting, as well as providing companionship and emotional support.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support residents with mobility and mealtime assistance.
* Monitor and report changes in residents' health or behaviour.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation.
* Promote a safe and clean environment.
* Provide companionship and emotional support.
Requirements
* QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support (or equivalent) – minimum of 2 modules completed.
* Previous experience in a care setting preferred.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Compassionate, patient, and reliable.
* Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
* Fluent English (spoken and written).
