OverviewStrategic Sourcing Manager role at Cardinal Health in Dublin, Ireland. Cardinal Health is a distributor of pharmaceuticals, a global manufacturer and distributor of medical and laboratory products, and a provider of performance and data solutions for healthcare facilities.ResponsibilitiesEDI Monitoring / troubleshooting: Daily monitoring and troubleshooting of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transmissions to ensure sales tracing data and inventory reports are processed correctly and made available to suppliers in a timely manner.Failure to Supply Management: Work with internal stakeholders (procurement/finance) and external manufacturing suppliers to monitor failure to supply events, resolve disputes, and ensure Cardinal Health is compensated when deliveries are interrupted.Manual Prep Buy: Collaborate with the global sourcing team to manage critical items via a manual buy process to optimize inventory and maintain customer service levels.Other Responsibilities: Document management, inventory analysis, stock builds for seasonal needs, identification of overstock opportunities, setup and monitoring of new item launches, audit brokerage orders and customer transfers, represent the department across the organization, and lead special projects to drive continuous improvement.Qualifications8-12 years of experience in related fields (e.g., Pharma/Bio Industry, Procurement, Sourcing, Supply Chain Management, Wholesale Distribution) preferredBachelor's degree in a related field preferredLocationHybrid role: Dublin, Ireland office 2 days a week and remote for the remaining daysWhat is expected of you and others at this levelApplied advanced knowledge to manage a wide variety of tasks and projectsParticipation in policy and procedure development to achieve goalsRecommend new practices, processes, metrics, or modelsWork on or lead complex projects of large scope with long-term impactProvide solutions that may set precedentsDemonstrate curiosity to investigate processes and seek more effective methodsAbility to work with some ambiguity and independently determine methods for new tasksReceive guidance on overall objectives and mentor less experienced colleaguesStrong computer literacy, analytical problem-solving, and organization skillsStrong negotiation skills balancing stakeholder interests for optimal resultsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills across cultures and time zonesCandidates who are back-to-work, people with disabilities, without a college degree, and veterans are encouraged to apply.
