We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Management Specialist to join our growing team in County Cork. This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial management while supporting a diverse client portfolio, predominantly in the Retail sector.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the preparation and review of management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
* Analyse and present weekly KPI reports to the Senior Account Manager, highlighting key trends and areas for improvement.
* Identify and address financial control issues, recommending process improvements to optimize efficiency.
* Implement and monitor effective internal controls, maintaining the highest standards of compliance.
* Oversee the accounts payable function, ensuring efficient processes and minimizing risk.
* Manage working capital to optimise cash flow, maximising return on investment.
* Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with regulations, maintaining accurate records and meeting deadlines.
* Deliver financial control services and strategic support to clients, driving business growth and profitability.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Be either a senior Bookkeeper / Part-qualified accountant (CPA, ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or significant experience of 5+ years in a similar position.
* Strong financial analysis and accounts preparation skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
* Ability to train and supervise junior staff, developing their skills and knowledge.
* Proficient IT skills, particularly in financial software and Excel, with a strong understanding of data analysis and reporting.
* Strong organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines, prioritising tasks and managing workload effectively.
* Retail sector experience is advantageous but not essential, as we value transferable skills and adaptability.
