Occupational Therapy Manager Job Summary
This is a key appointment in comprehensive mental health service for adults and older adults.
* Responsible for the overall management and performance of occupational therapy provision within Highfield Healthcare services, subject to agreed national policy directives and priorities.
About the Role
The Occupational Therapy Manager will be responsible for clinical supervision and clinical governance under CORU guidelines, to Occupational Therapists working in Highfield services.
The department provides a service to various clinical specialties including Psychiatry, Specialised Rehabilitation Units, Acute Mental Health, Long-term Mental Health, Home Treatment Teams, Day Hospitals, and Dementia Care.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage and perform occupational therapy provision within Highfield services.
2. Establish links with internal and external stakeholders to raise the profile of Occupational Therapy delivered by Highfield Healthcare.
Requirements
Applicants must have strong leadership skills and experience in managing teams. They must also have excellent communication and organizational skills.
A bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field is required. A master's degree is an asset.
