We at the Shearwater Hotel and Spa, Ballinasloe, Co Galway have an opportunity for a Trainee Duty Manager to join our dynamic team.
This role will suit an energetic, ambitious candidate who has particular interest in Food Beverage who is looking to take the next step in their management career.
Job Summary To learn the functions of the Duty Manager role by observing and participating in empowering the Food Beverage team to provide exceptional customer experiences and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction is achieved.
Focus on assisting management with the daily operations, development of team members and safety and security of guests.
The purpose of the role is primarily educational and will allow the trainee to gain experience in all necessary areas in the running of the property and events.
The tasks outlined in this job description will be given to the trainee on a gradual basis and responsibilities will be dependent on proven performance Qualifications and Experience Any necessary qualifications will be completed during the traineeship and will be outlined by the General Manager.
Any courses organised by Management must be attended in order to complete the traineeship.
Solid organisational skills - eye for detail coupled with a strong ability to proactively identify priorities and manage multiple tasks, and successfully accomplish objectives in a busy and challenging workplace.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Previous Opera/Protel program experience is an advantage.
Flexibility and availability to work weekdays or weekends including morning, afternoon and evening shifts.
