Job Title: Strategic Donor Development Manager
The role of a Major Donor Manager involves leading the way in cultivating and growing support from major donors in Ireland.
This includes developing connections with new donors and deepening relationships with existing ones through targeted and innovative approaches.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement annual operational plans to support the delivery of fundraising objectives
* Manage and grow fundraising income from private individuals and family foundations in Ireland, employing donor propositions including project sponsorship, appeal campaigns, events, and tailored donor proposals
* Provide leadership to a team of fundraisers and stakeholders to deliver major donor fundraising goals
* Employ tools and processes to identify and convert new major donor leads and prospects
Duties also include collaborating with internal teams, managing external suppliers, and optimizing donor information systems.
The ideal candidate will have strong relationship development skills, strategic thinking, excellent written and verbal communication skills, experience in multi-project management, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Additionally, they should be comfortable working towards targets, have an interest in overseas development, and possess a third-level degree. Experience with Microsoft packages and donor relationship management systems is also desirable.
