Duty Operations Manager
Excel Recruitment is seeking an experienced professional to support a client during a busy Christmas period. This is a temporary assignment with an immediate start, ideal for someone with strong operational or supervisory experience who can deliver smooth, efficient service.
Duty Operations Manager responsibilities:
* Oversee day-to-day operations during peak seasonal demand
* Support front-of-house, housekeeping, and night teams
* Manage guest check-ins, check-outs, room moves, and complaints
* Conduct property walks, safety checks, and incident reporting
* Maintain high standards of service and presentation during busy times
* Handle cash procedures, shift reports, and operational handovers
* Act as the main decision-maker when senior management is not on-site
Duty Operations Manager requirements:
* Previous hotel/hostel or hospitality operations experience
* Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and guest service abilities
* Calm, organised approach during high-volume periods
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and festive-season shifts
* Experience with Mews PMS or First Aid/Fire Marshal training is an advantage
