Job Opportunity:
We are seeking a skilled Financial Operations Specialist to join our team in North Tipperary. This hybrid and permanent role offers flexibility (FT / 4 days week / Negotiable) and ownership of the finance function.
Key Responsibilities:
1. General Ledger Management: Maintaining accurate entries, reconciliations, and journal postings to ensure seamless financial operations.
2. Monthly Financial Reports: Preparing accounts, accruals, prepayments, variance analysis (actual vs target), and KPIs like debtors, creditors, and stock to provide valuable insights.
3. Budgeting & Forecasting: Supporting the preparation of budgets and forecasts, and assisting with scenario planning such as capacity or spend adjustments to drive business growth.
4. Report Validation: Reviewing dashboards, KPI reports, and ensuring report output accuracy to maintain data integrity.
5. Team Leadership: Overseeing the daily activities of the accounts assistants Credit Control & AR to foster a collaborative work environment.
6. Quote & Pricing Updates: Ensuring our pricing records are current and up-to-date.
7. Process Improvement: Identifying opportunities for systems implementation and recommending enhancements to improve efficiency.
8. External Collaboration: Collaborating with external accountants for year-end statements to ensure compliance.
9. Internal Register Maintenance: Managing fixed asset logs, supplier contracts, rebates, and other essential documents.
Requirements:
A Part-Qualified Accountant, preferably through CIMA, or with similar experience. Strong Excel skills, especially with large datasets. Familiarity with accounting systems-QuickBooks is preferred, but others are welcome. A naturally curious individual who is eager to understand how the business operates and proactive in finding process improvements. Effective communication, methodical work approach, and strong partnership skills across the team.
