This role is vital to ensuring the efficient and safe operation of the plant by monitoring systems via SCADA and CCTV, coordinating material flow, and supporting production targets through proactive oversight and communication.PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIESPlant Operations & MonitoringOperate and monitor plant equipment using SCADA and MCC systems.Observe CCTV feeds to identify blockages, equipment issues, or safety concerns.Monitor picker performance (e.g., picking rates per minute) and incoming material quality via camera systems.Track bunker fill levels, baler modes, and material flow to maintain optimal throughput.Record production outputs, downtime, and alarms; escalate issues to maintenance and log in Fiix or relevant CMMS.Shift Coordination & HandoverComplete start-of-shift and end-of-shift checks, including emergency stop and safety system verifications.Communicate effectively with supervisors, loading teams, and maintenance to ensure smooth transitions and consistent performance.Assist in achieving shift targets for throughput and bale production.Outward Haulage & Tipping OversightCoordinate trailer allocations and verify load accuracy for outbound haulage.Ensure correct bale loading by material type and weight.Monitor tipping bay activities to ensure proper bunker usage and accurate recording.Report contamination, misplacement, or unsafe practices to the MRF Manager.Liaise with weighbridge and yard teams to align incoming and outgoing movements.Compliance, Safety & ReportingEnforce PPE usage and adherence to safety protocols across the plant.Maintain cleanliness and hazard-free conditions in walkways, loading bays, and control areas.Verify functionality of safety systems including emergency stops, alarms, and fire exits.Support reporting by compiling accurate data from SCADA, bale counts, and load records.REQUIREMENTS·Previous experience in recycling, production, or warehouse environments is an advantage but not essential.· Strong communication and coordination abilities.· Good teamwork and communication skills.· Familiarity with SCADA systems and production monitoring tools.· High situational awareness and commitment to safety.· Ability to multitask and remain focused in a fast-paced environment.WHAT WE OFFER:·Full-time position with long-term career growth opportunities.· A competitive salary package.If you're enthusiastic about making a difference in recycling and sustainability, we'd love to hear from you.
