Lead Culinary Expert
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Culinary Expert to join our culinary team. As a seasoned Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, driving culinary innovation, and ensuring consistently high standards.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for fresh, locally sourced Irish cuisine and strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills. You will be expected to design and implement creative, seasonal menus, oversee food quality, consistency, and presentation, and manage stock, cost control, and supplier relationships.
In this role, you will also collaborate with senior management on kitchen strategy and planning, ensuring compliance with HACCP and food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, train, and inspire a passionate culinary team
* Design and implement creative, seasonal menus
* Oversee food quality, consistency, and presentation
* Manage stock, cost control, and supplier relationships
* Evaluate and improve kitchen processes
* Ensure compliance with HACCP and food safety standards
* Collaborate with senior management on kitchen strategy and planning
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role
* A passion for fresh, locally sourced Irish cuisine
* Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills
* Excellent organisational and financial acumen
* Experience in a high-volume 4-star hotel environment preferred
