They are seeking an experienced senior underwriter to join them as the Head of Underwriting. Within this pivotal role, you will lead the underwriting function, driving the company's strategy, performance and solutions forward.
Responsibilities
* As Head of Underwriting you will lead the underwriting and product solutions function while driving company strategy and performance, and holding responsibility for achieving underwriting growth, shaping product strategy and ensuring regulatory compliance.
* You will develop the company's product suite and ensure enhancement and evolution of lifecycle management and stay ahead of market developments to inform product underwriting.
* As Head of Underwriting you will be underwriting new and existing business profitably, including large and complex risks, as well as building trusted relationships with members, customers, and industry stakeholders.
Essential Experience Required
* Established market credibility and influence within the Irish insurance industry, with proven success in a senior underwriting role.
* Extensive expertise in P&C products, pricing strategies, and risk assessment.
* Hold an excellent understanding of Irish regulatory and compliance requirements.
* Demonstrated ability to mentor, develop, and build technical capability within teams.
