A Principal Electrical Engineer is required to join our expanding Dublin office. The successful candidate will be involved in the following rage of projects: Data Centres, Industrial, Commercial, Oil and Gas & Pharma.
Role Responsibilities
Producing feasibility studies, outline design, detailed design and construction support.
Producing design drawings, electrical plant selection and specifications.
SME for the team.
Liaising with other disciplines.
Delivering a high calibre of technical quality, contributing to bids (TBA), interfacing with clients and collaborators in design and planning.
Delivering to agreed budgets and schedules.
Liaising with power utility companies and managing power supply upgrades
Role Requirements
8 years plus as a principal engineer, covering the duties as listed above.
Candidates with chartership or in the process of attaining chartership will have a distinct advantage.
Excellent communication skills.
Must have a full Irish driving licence.
Candidates must be fluent in English and eligible to work in Ireland.
Be proficient in the following software: Dialux, Amtech (Trimble), Etap, Eracs, CDEGS, etc. (and be in a position to provide training to others within the group).
Detailed electrical design experience (LV, MV, HV) in data centre/building services environment. Design experience to include SLD (topology), coordination studies, electrical services design.
Sound knowledge of key Health and Safety issues and legislation.
Knowledge of MS Office applications: Word, Excel, etc.
Ability to prioritise own workload.
Ability to work to deadlines.
Managerial skills.
Presentation skills.
Background in consulting or construction preferred.
Good understanding of international working and business operations of a global consultancy.
Act in an ethical manner and follow the principles of the Ethics Charter and Ethics in Practice Guidelines of the Group.
