IT Support Engineer
MPG Recruitment is delighted to partner with a well-established Irish company seeking a skilled IT Support Engineer to provide high-quality technical support and help optimise customer IT infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments.
Location: County Leitrim, IrelandBase pay range: €40–50K, depending on experiencePayment Range: €40–50K, depending on experienceWorking Hours: (Onsite)Only candidates authorised to work in the EU will be considered.
Role Overview
This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced IT professional who thrives in a hands‑on, client-focused environment and enjoys supporting both traditional and cloud-based systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver top-tier phone, email, remote, and occasional onsite support, ensuring prompt resolution of technical issues
* Troubleshoot and maintain network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, firewalls, and security systems)
* Support and manage Microsoft 365 and Azure environments
* Maintain hybrid and cloud-first infrastructure, including backups, disaster recovery, and security solutions
* Perform root-cause analysis, take ownership of issues, and follow through to resolution
* Collaborate with team members and communicate clearly with clients
Skills & Experience
* 2–3+ years’ experience in a technical or IT support role (Level 2 preferred)
* Strong understanding of Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Azure, and network fundamentals
* Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently or within a team
* Relevant IT certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, or equivalent) are an advantage
* Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
