We now wish to recruit an E&I Engineer to work on site supporting capital projects. The Electrical / Instrument Engineer will be working as part of a multidiscipline project engineering team on site. Previous E&I design and construction support experience in the Pharmaceutical/ Biotechnology industry is advantageous, and experience with chillers/freezers is critical.
Responsibilities
* Oversee electrical and instrumentation aspects of projects, ensuring timely execution and adherence to budget constraints
* Develop electrical schematics, instrumentation diagrams, and control system designs for required systems
* Lead the installation, testing, and validation of electrical and instrumentation systems, ensuring compliance with GMP and FDA regulations
* Provide technical support for existing equipment, identifying and resolving electrical and instrumentation issues
* Maintain accurate documentation, including design specifications, validation protocols, and change control records
* Work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, automation specialists, and quality assurance teams
* Coordinate with external suppliers and contractors to ensure project deliverables meet industry standards
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field
* 5+ years of experience in electrical and instrumentation engineering within the biopharma or pharmaceutical industry
* Proven expertise in chiller and freezer systems, including temperature control, monitoring, and automation
* Strong knowledge of GMP, FDA, and EU regulatory requirements
* Experience with PLC programming, SCADA systems, and industrial automation
* Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills
