Overview
Senior Social Media Specialist role at Irish Life.
Location: Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland. This is a full-time, permanent position with a hybrid work arrangement based in our City Centre offices.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement a comprehensive organic social media strategy for Irish Life that aligns with overall business objectives, supports paid advertising activities, and delivers consistency across key B2C and B2B channels to drive customer engagement and brand KPIs.
* Establish and lead a cross-functional content working group with product and marketing teams to coordinate a monthly social media content calendar, ensuring high-quality, on-brand campaign assets are developed and delivered on schedule.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external agency partners to create a unified and impactful social media presence that resonates with both consumer and business audiences.
* Monitor, analyse, and report on social media performance metrics, using insights to inform ongoing strategy, and stay current with emerging trends, tools, and platform developments.
* Lead social media activity at live events, including sponsorship events such as the Irish Life Dublin Marathon and CSR initiatives and workplace events.
* Oversee the use and performance of third-party social media management tools, ensuring efficiency in content scheduling, publishing, and engagement tracking.
* Act as a social media subject matter expert across Irish Life, providing guidance and training to internal teams on best practices, platform updates, and content optimisation.
* Support the Senior Brand & Advertising Manager and the broader brand team on key initiatives and cross-functional projects as required.
Team Background and Reporting
* This role is part of the Growth Solutions team and reports to the Senior Brand & Advertising Manager.
* The Growth Solutions team focuses on customer experience, brand marketing, sustainability, innovation and AI, in addition to customer transformation projects.
* The Growth Solutions Brand Marketing team oversees brand management, advertising, sponsorship and corporate reputation, in collaboration with partner agencies.

What you will need to be successful
We’re looking for a passionate and strategic social media professional who can bring experience, creativity, and commercial insight to the team.
* A third-level qualification in Business, Marketing, Digital Marketing, or a related field, with 3+ years of hands-on social media experience (in-house or agency), ideally across both B2C and B2B.
* A passion for marketing and social media, with an interest in keeping up with content trends, platform updates and emerging tools to keep Irish Life at the forefront of digital engagement.
* Proven experience managing social media for a large brand, with knowledge of social management tools (e.g., Sprout, Hootsuite), social listening platforms, and broader digital marketing techniques.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to extract insights from data using tools like Google Analytics; working knowledge of SEO and the interplay between search and social strategies.
* Results-driven mindset, capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines while focusing on KPIs.
* Experience in financial services or insurance is an advantage.
* Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
* Team working and cross-functional collaboration; problem solving and decision making; planning and organising; drive for results.
