The role
Sales Operations & Pricing Analyst
Our client, a major multinational player and leading employer in the region, within the engineering components sector, is seeking a highly analytical and detail‑oriented individual to join their sales operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or early‑career professional with a passion for numbers, data analysis, and commercial decision‑making.
The Role
Working as part of a team that supports a national sales force of approximately 80 field‑based sales representatives, you will play a key role in pricing analysis, margin protection, and commercial decision‑making.
No previous industry experience is required. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with numbers, can think analytically, and is comfortable making decisions based on data and commercial guidelines.
This is a desk‑based role where you'll spend much of your day analysing figures, reviewing pricing requests, and supporting the commercial performance of the business.
The Sales Operations & Pricing team acts as the commercial gatekeeper for target and pricing decisions across the business.
While global pricing structures are established by the wider Company Group, the local Sales Operations team is responsible for reviewing and approving pricing requests from the field sales team in line with margin requirements and commercial guidelines.
You will work with established systems, processes, and pricing frameworks while developing a strong understanding of commercial decision‑making and sales performance.
Key Responsibilities
Daily management of the customer order flow relating to pricing
Analyse margins, profitability, and commercial impact of pricing proposals
Support sales force on quotation and order pricing queries
Support the Sales Operations Manager in producing and analysing reports relating to pricing performance and strategic activities
Maintain accurate commercial data within company systems
Identify trends and opportunities through data analysis
Support wider sales operations and commercial projects as required
Perform data analysis and modelling
Skills & Qualifications
Strong numerical and analytical ability
Comfortable working with data, margins, and financial figures
Strong problem‑solving skills
Ability to follow guidelines while exercising sound commercial judgement.
Strong IT skills and confidence learning new systems
Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Business, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related discipline
Advanced Excel skills
Experience working with data, reporting, or commercial analysis is advantageous
Interest in pricing, sales operations, or business analytics
The Offer
This position is being offered on a 3‑month fixed term contract basis (there may be an opportunity to extend) with salary depending on the candidate’s skills and experience but is expected to range up to approximately €32K per annum.
This fully onsite role will be 5 days office based in our client’s office in Limerick.
