Our team is seeking an accomplished and visionary Culinary Director to lead the kitchen at our esteemed hotel in Co. Kildare. As a key member of our management team, you will oversee all aspects of food service operations, driving excellence in culinary quality, presentation, and consistency.
About the Role
This is a full-time, permanent position requiring approximately 45 hours per week, with a rostered 5-day schedule over 7 days, including weekends and public holidays. Your primary responsibility will be to manage a skilled team of up to 12 kitchen staff, fostering a culture of innovation, teamwork, and mutual respect.
* Oversight of kitchen budgets, food costs, and payroll control.
* Collaboration with the Food & Beverage Manager and senior management on strategic development and long-term planning for the property.
* Development and implementation of menus that align with our hotel's standards and brand.
* Maintenance of exceptional standards of food quality, hygiene, and overall kitchen performance.
You will also be responsible for mentoring and developing your team members, promoting their growth and well-being within the hotel.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you must have:
* A minimum of 3-4 years' experience as a senior chef within a high-volume establishment.
* Proven expertise in managing kitchen finances, commercial aspects, and HACCP systems.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* A collaborative mindset, able to work effectively with colleagues and contribute to ongoing projects.
