Job description
Curragh Pharmacy is recruiting a motivated Pharmacy Sales Assistant.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Sales, merchandising, advising customers and reconciling the tills.
* To deliver professional and efficient customer service at all times.
* To provide advice and knowledge on products.
* To maintain good stock control including; rotation of stock and maintaining appropriate stock levels.
* To work effectively as part of the pharmacy team
* To comply with standards and training requirements.
* Be flexible and work in multiple areas of the pharmacy as required.
* To participate in training and development programmes provided by the Pharmacy and to be proactive in developing the job function.
* To assist in the dispensary when required.
* To ensure the pharmacy is kept clean and tidy at all times and complies with work health and safety regulations
* Meet weekly / monthly agreed sales targets
The ideal candidate will:
* Be required to be flexible with your working hours and work some Saturdays. The shop will not open weekdays after 6.00pm or on Sundays, and Saturdays will be a half day until 2pm
* Be a sociable person who can deliver excellent customer care and go the extra mile to exceed customers' expectations.
* Have enthusiasm for learning and self-development
* Have an enthusiasm for sales and be proactive with important promotions and offers.
* Have the ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team.
* Must be reliable, punctual and trustworthy.
* Must have fluent English.
* 2 years' experience working in retail pharmacy environment
* A good knowledge of medicines, healthcare and cosmetics would be useful but not essential as training will be provided.
* Computer skills essential.
* Hours: Full time hours required. You will be required to work Saturdays on a rota basis.
