Job TitleMechanical & Electrical ForemenReports ToCJK Engineering Project ManagerResponsibilitiesAttend onsite progress meetings and generate weekly reports on progress achieved.Adhere to the construction programme and onsite deliverables.Support the organisation and coordination of site‑based activities.Lead and coordinate teams of Mechanical & Electrical Engineering trades on site.Track and record site daily activities and construction progress.Lead teams to deliver quality, on time and to budget, in a safe and efficient manner.Deal with obstacles and challenges in a timely manner and develop team capacity.Support all parties working with the M&E coordination / BIM process.Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) and welfare requirements.Manage personnel timekeeping, wages, discipline and set to work; adhere to onsite clocking system.Organise and manage labour and specialist sub‑contractor; ensure proactive management of client relationships during delivery of projects to meet expectations.Liaise with clients, staff, senior management, suppliers and specialist subcontractors.Manage material and workmanship installed on site, including material management, labour and material costs.Work within a designated project in close cooperation with the CJK Engineering Project Manager as part of the overall project team.Knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems with regard to onsite coordination; setting out, installation and construction.Attend coordination meetings and develop communication skills.Conduct system walkdowns of 1st, 2nd and 3rd fix mechanical/electrical installation works for compliance and workmanship standards.Ensure mechanical/electrical systems are safely inspected, tested and commissioned correctly, per project requirements.Maintain quality management requirements per project specifications, drawings and workmanship standards, including the Project Quality Plan (PQP).QualificationsMinimum of two years’ experience post mechanical/electrical trade qualification on site.Mechanical or electrical trades exam completed (SOLAS) – FETAC Level 6 (Fitter / Plumber).General knowledge of mechanical or electrical, HVAC, building services, utilities, piping systems.Ability to interpret schematics and mechanical/electrical drawings.Ability to work independently with initiative.Knowledge of tender documents and determining scope of works.Excellent attention to detail.Good computer/PC skills.DesirableGood knowledge of AutoCAD / Navisworks.Knowledge of Irish Building Regulations, including BCAR 2014.Previous M&E coordination experience.
