As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Facility Maintenance Technician to join our senior team.
This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our factory and associated facilities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Maintenance Facility Management
Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the factory and associated facilities.
Ensure all equipment is in optimal working order and promptly address any issues.
2. Operational Efficiency
Develop and implement procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
Focus on inventory management, waste reduction, and workflow optimization.
3. Team Support
Collaborate closely with the management team to understand operational needs and provide necessary support.
4. Budget Management
Monitor and manage the facilities and operations budget.
Ensure cost-effective use of resources.
5. Emergency Response
Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
Prioritize the safety and well-being of all staff.
6. Engineering Services
Provide day-to-day engineering services in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
Maintain and repair packaging and manufacturing equipment to support operational goals.
7. Documentation and Reporting
Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance documentation.
Deliver high-quality maintenance services aligned with the maintenance strategy.
8. Technical Expertise
Plan and execute activities to improve line and work zone performance.
Use PLC for fault-finding and provide engineering improvements to enhance productivity.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Facility Maintenance Technician, preferably in a high-volume, regulated food production or related industry.
National Craft Senior Trades Electrician or equivalent qualification is essential.
Experience in Lean Six Sigma environments is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to multitask and deliver cost-effective design solutions.
Additional Requirements
Eligibility for full-time employment in Ireland.
Knowledge of food manufacturing regulations is advantageous.
