is looking for an
Experienced Bookkeeper
to join its busy accounts and payroll department.
This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in a practice setting who enjoys managing client relationships, mentoring junior staff, and working across multiple accounting systems.
This is a
permanent position.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Manage daily, weekly, and monthly bookkeeping for a diverse client base
Submit accurate VAT returns and complete thorough bank reconciliations
Oversee payroll processing using BrightPay or Thesaurus, including high-volume runs
Ensure clients meet all relevant Revenue reporting and compliance deadlines
Review and approve bookkeeping and payroll entries completed by junior staff
Handle complex client queries and escalate issues where necessary
Provide training and technical support to junior team members
Assist in the development and implementation of improved systems and internal procedures
Maintain strong client relationships, offering proactive guidance and support
Contribute to accurate year-end financial and payroll reporting in collaboration with the wider team
What are we looking for?
3–5 years' experience in a bookkeeping or payroll role, ideally within an accountancy or payroll practice
Qualification in business, accounting, or a related discipline
High-level proficiency in Excel, including advanced formulas and data review
Solid understanding of Irish payroll legislation and Revenue compliance requirements
Experience managing multiple client accounts and delivering results under
