Overview
Health Safety Environment Supervisor – PV Solar Projects (18 Month Fixed Term Contract) at ENGIE UK. Join ENGIE to help lead safety and environmental responsibility on construction sites as part of Ireland-wide PV Solar projects.
Core responsibilities
* Serve as ENGIE's on-site representative for Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) issues
* Coordinate and supervise HSE activities across multiple PV Solar construction sites
* Verify contractor compliance with project safety plans and ENGIE's HSE requirements
* Conduct risk analyses and promote last-minute risk assessments for new or adapted processes
* Lead daily HSE meetings and maintain high safety standards through various engagement tools
* Investigate and report on incidents, near-misses, and potential high-risk situations
* Prepare monthly HSE reports and track key performance indicators
* Support the attainment and maintenance of ISO accreditations
What you will bring to the role
* Hold an accredited Professional Health and Safety qualification (essential)
* Strong working knowledge of Republic of Ireland Health and Safety legislation
* Experience in a Health and Safety role, preferably in construction or renewable energy
* Familiarity with environmental regulations, particularly in waste management
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
* Strong problem-solving and dispute resolution abilities
* Ideally, experience in PSCS and/or PSDP roles (desirable)
* Recognized Fire Risk Assessor qualification (desirable)
Job Based In
PV Solar projects are located across Galway, Limerick, and Offaly, within a radius of approximately 100 km. This role requires on-site presence at various construction locations.
