Job Title: Senior BartenderLocation: Cliff at Lyons, County Kildare, IrelandReports To: Bar Manager Job Overview:Cliff at Lyons, a luxury country retreat located in the heart of County Kildare, is seeking a skilled and passionate Senior Bartender with a strong emphasis on cocktail crafting to join our vibrant bar team.
As a Senior Bartender, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the bar, creating and serving exceptional cocktails, and providing an outstanding guest experience in an elegant and relaxed environment.
Your expertise in mixology, paired with your leadership skills, will help elevate the drink experience for our guests, ensuring their visit is nothing short of exceptional.Key Responsibilities:Cocktail Creation & Mixology: Designing, creating, and perfecting innovative and seasonal cocktails, ensuring that every drink served is of the highest quality.
You will be expected to use advanced techniques and seasonal ingredients to craft bespoke cocktails tailored to guest preferences.Guest Experience: Provide personalised service to our guests by recommending and crafting drinks based on their tastes and preferences, creating a memorable and unique bar experience.
Maintain a friendly, approachable, and professional demeanour at all times.Leadership & Training: Guide and mentor junior bar staff, providing on-the-job training, ensuring high standards of service, and promoting a positive, collaborative atmosphere in the bar.
You will play a key role in maintaining consistency across shifts and ensuring that team members are up to date with cocktail recipes, techniques, and service standards.Bar Operations: Oversee the smooth and efficient operation of the bar, including inventory management, ordering supplies, ensuring stock levels are maintained, and managing waste control.
Ensure that the bar is kept clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations.Guest Engagement & Upselling: Actively engage with guests, creating a welcoming atmosphere and offering personalised recommendations to enhance their experience.
Demonstrate expert knowledge of wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages, upselling premium options when appropriate.Key Skills and Qualifications:Extensive Cocktail Knowledge: Ability to create classic and contemporary cocktails to a high standard, with a flair for inventing new drinks.
Strong hands-on experience in mixology with a focus on high-quality, sophisticated drinks.
Experience with molecular mixology or advanced cocktail-making techniques is an advantage.Leadership Skills: Proven experience in managing or supervising a bar team, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead by example.Customer Service Excellence: Demonstrated passion for providing excellent customer service, with an ability to engage with guests and make them feel welcome in a high-end environment.Experience in a Luxury Setting: Previous experience working in a luxury hotel, restaurant, or bar setting is highly desirable.
Understanding of high-end service standards and attention to detail.Adaptability & Time Management: Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining the highest standards of service.
