As a Senior Speech and Language Therapist, you will be part of our dynamic team, working in clinical areas such as Feeding, Eating, Drinking, and Swallowing (FEDS) and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)/Complex Communication Needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and Deliver Education and Training: Create engaging educational content for professionals in the field of FEDS and AAC/CCN.
* Provide High-Quality Services: Offer expert services to clients with complex disabilities, ensuring their needs are met and they achieve optimal outcomes.
* Supervise and Mentor Colleagues: Provide guidance and support to junior Speech and Language Therapists, helping them develop their skills and advance in their careers.
The ideal candidate will possess:
* A current registration on the Speech and Language Therapist register with CORU.
* A minimum of three years post-qualification experience, including work with clients presenting with complex disabilities.
* Experience working with children and/or adults with Dysphagia and/or AAC/CCN.
Desirable Skills include:
* Experience in service delivery planning and development.
* Delivery of education and training.
* Supervising others.
* Use and analysis of videofluoroscopy.
* Working with various AAC systems.
* Conducting or assisting with relevant research in disability.
* Managing databases and conducting audits.
