Occupational Health and Safety Manager Job Description
The Occupational Health and Safety Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of safety, health, environmental, and quality are maintained across the organization.
This includes implementing and overseeing all aspects of safety, health, environmental, and quality policies, conducting site inspections, and ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company standards.
The Occupational Health and Safety Manager must have a proactive approach to risk management and a commitment to creating a safe working environment for all employees and subcontractors.
Responsibilities include:
* Leading the charge on maintaining high Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality standards
* Implementing improved EHSQ practices, policies, and procedures
* Maintaining a working knowledge of new legislation
* Promoting health-related risks and on-site training
* Preparing and updating Company Health and Safety procedures, policies, and safety statements
* Ensuring all staff are made aware of Company policies and procedures
The ideal candidate will possess:
* A degree in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent qualification
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
* Safe Pass and Manual Handling certifications
* Minimum 5 years' experience in the construction industry
* In-depth knowledge of Irish Health and Safety legislation
