Job Description
As part of our Global Procurement team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering end‑to‑end value across our supply chain. You will build and protect Diageo’s reputation by offering innovative supplier solutions, driving our sustainability agenda, and achieving our commercial goals.
We are looking for a leader who balances people and numbers, building relationships internally and externally to find the right matches for our needs. You will see deals through and deliver on a wide range of strategic priorities such as investment optimisation, digitalisation, stakeholder sufficiency and ESG ambition.
Core Activities / Deliverables
Manage the total indirects procurement scope through brilliant execution, including sourcing and supplier relationship management and development
Lead and develop a direct team of category specialists
Deliver financial and non‑financial critical metrics
Own the annual planning cycle for Europe Indirects as part of the overall global process
Drive and support best practice and innovative models for sourcing, cost models, benchmarking, SRM/SPM and e‑sourcing, working closely with Global Procurement and other in‑market Procurement teams
Lead and support the DSC roll‑out in Europe, embedding Fairmarkit and supporting integrated ecosystem improvements
Partner with Global Procurement Category teams on market insights, input and builds for all category strategy and benchmarking work
Lead local market sourcing and support global sourcing and supplier relationship management activity across Indirects categories
Accountable for key external suppliers/agencies to improve commercial advantage, minimise risk and assure quality of delivery and performance
Lead procurement productivity agenda by implementing transformational behavioural changes beyond immediate functional responsibilities
About You
Procurement, Commercial or Consultancy experience in an FMCG environment
Proven experience in strategy development, complex/multi‑country negotiations, analysis, forecasting and benchmarking, ideally in a Marketing Procurement context
Strong knowledge of financial drivers to shape procurement strategies and a track record of taking calculated risks to achieve strategic gains
Strong analytical skills with a forensic understanding of cost drivers to target and influence costs through end‑to‑end value
Ability to work in an agile, fast‑moving and ambiguous environment, keeping pace with change and prioritising according to business needs
Strong communication and influencing skills with personal impact to gain credibility quickly with senior stakeholders and generate follow‑ership
