We're proud to serve communities across Ireland and Spain, feeding one in three people every day through 18 iconic brands like SuperValu, Centra, Mace, Frank and Honest, and Musgrave MarketPlace. By supporting thousands of retail and foodservice family businesses, we make a positive impact on the communities they serve. We're committed to becoming the most trusted and sustainable business in Ireland, and we're looking for dynamic, forward-thinking individuals to join us on this journey.
As we continue our journey toward becoming Ireland’s most trusted and sustainable business, we are seeking a highly analytical and commercially minded Range Analyst to join the Finance team to provide support to the Range & Space function within the Trading Team. This role plays a critical part in supporting, challenging, and governing the performance of the Range function to ensure operating targets are achieved across the business.
As a key analytical partner to the Range & Space Team, the successful candidate will deliver timely, accurate, and insightful management information that supports informed decision-making across the wider Musgrave business.
A central aspect of this role involves transforming complex data into clear, value-adding insights, and confidently presenting findings and recommendations at Range & Space Team meetings.
What you'll be doing:
Deliver robust reporting and analysis across Most Important Products (MIP), Range Compliance, Range Count, Category Resets, and ad-hoc commercial queries for SuperValu and Centra.
Investigate performance variances and provide meaningful insight and commentary to support Range Count, MIP and Range Compliance performance reporting.
Conduct detailed store performance analysis to help maximise sales and margin returns from allocated space.
Prepare store comparison reports to identify sales opportunities, highlight underperforming areas, and provide actionable insights to internal and external partners.
Support category trading initiatives, pilots, and wider business initiatives through strong analytical insight.
Collaborate cross-functionally on projects that impact range, space, and trading performance.
Provide ad-hoc analysis to support evolving business and trading requirements.
What we are looking for:
The ideal candidate will be a data-driven self-starter with strong commercial awareness and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
A general business degree with 3+ years’ relevant experience or be a qualified accountant (minimum 3 years PQE).
Strong numerical and analytical capabilities with a passion for turning data into insight.
Advanced skills across Microsoft tools, particularly Excel and Power BI.
A logical and inquisitive mindset, with excellent attention to detail and sound judgment.
Proven ability to communicate insights clearly and influence stakeholders at senior levels.
Musgrave is an equal opportunities employer. We encourage applications from diverse candidates. If we can make any accommodations to enable you to be the best version of yourself during the interview, please let us know.
Musgrave operate a Work Smart hybrid working model where you can alternate your time between connecting and collaborating in the business and working remotely.
