Job Description: Your new company As Data Protection Officer Assurance Lead, you will join a semi-state utility provider in Ireland.
Your new office is located in Dublin North and is accessible via public transport.
Your new company requires you to join their team on a 2-year fixed-term contract.
You will have a hybrid work model, 2 days in the office and 3 days at home.
Your new role As Data Protection Officer Assurance Lead, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery and implementation of a Data Protection service across your new company.
This role will assume responsibility for supporting the data protection of customers, employees and all other personal information.
Your duties will include, but are not limited to supporting the development and implementation of the DP strategy across the organisation; providing guidance to the business in relation to DP compliance; risk assessment of projects and evaluation of DP & privacy related risks; providing support to the business in relation to conducting Data Privacy Impact Assessments; conducting investigation of any DP related complaints and enquiries; conducting investigation of any alleged Data Breaches; managing and maintaining Registers associated with DP compliance requirements; responsible for overseeing Data Subject Requests and Data Subject Rights Requests including triage, liaison with Data Champions, relevant business stakeholders and IT as necessary, through to preparation and issue of final response; development and delivery of ongoing DP awareness programmes and in-house training; active participation in appropriate data governance groups; defining monthly DP KPIs and Metrics in relation to function activities and any general administrative duties that fall into your new role.

What you'll need to succeed You will ideally have recent relevant operational data protection experience and have experience working in the role requiring the application of analytical skills.
The ability to think and act independently is essential.
The ability to work on a broad range of tasks, deliver high-quality work and meet tight deadlines is required.
You will also have proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite.
Project management experience is advantageous.
