Day Rate Contract - AS400 Developer
We are seeking an experienced AS400 Developer to join our team on a day-rate contract basis. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in RPG, CL, and DB2 within the IBM i (AS400) environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, modify, and maintain applications on the IBM i (AS400) platform
* Write efficient and maintainable RPG, RPG IV, and RPGLE code
* Create and maintain CL programs and DB2 database objects
* Design and implement interfaces between IBM i and other systems
* Debug and resolve production issues
* Perform system testing and assist with user acceptance testing
* Document technical specifications and procedures
* Collaborate with business analysts to understand requirements
Required Skills
* 5+ years of experience with IBM i (AS400) development
* Strong knowledge of RPG IV, RPGLE, and free-format RPG
* Experience with CL programming and DB2 for IBM i
* Proficiency in SQL, DDS, and data modeling concepts
* Understanding of modern IBM i tools and technologies (RDi, ACS)
* Experience with integration technologies (web services, API, etc.)
* Problem-solving skills with attention to detail
