Cloud Support Engineer Job Description
As a Cloud Support Engineer at Amazon Web Services, you will be at the forefront of our transformational technology, assisting a global list of companies and developers who are taking advantage of our growing set of services and features to run their mission-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities:
* Act as the 'Cloud Ambassador' across all cloud products, arming customers with required tools & tactics to get the most out of their Product and Support investment.
* Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to provide unique solutions to our customers' individual needs.
* Interact with leading engineers around the world.
* Partner with Amazon Web Services teams to help reproduce and resolve customer issues.
* Leverage extensive customer support experience to provide feedback to internal AWS teams on how to improve our services.
What You'll Do:
1. Learn and use groundbreaking technologies.
2. Drive customer communication during critical events.
3. Work on critical, highly complex customer problems that may span multiple AWS services.
4. Write tutorials, how-to videos, and other technical articles for the developer community.
Requirements:
* Advanced experience in Apache Hadoop, Apache Spark, Apache Hive, and Presto.
* Excellent knowledge of Hadoop architecture, administration and support.
* 3+ years experience with Bachelor's degree in Information Science / Information Technology, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field OR equivalent experience in a technical position OR equivalent military experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Expert experience in Data Lake architecture and administration.
* Prior work experience with AWS - any or all of EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, EMR, Glue, SageMaker.
