Job Summary:
You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of various production equipment, with a focus on electrical systems. Your duties will include conducting preventive maintenance, troubleshooting electrical issues, training staff, and collaborating with various teams to ensure seamless production operations. Additionally, you will play a key role in identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance productivity and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintaining PA Systems and Tools:
* Conduct routine maintenance of PA systems to ensure optimal performance.
* Perform cleaning and repair of PA tools as needed.
* Execute daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance tasks and maintain accurate records.
* Familiarize yourself with spare parts inventory and ensure availability as required.
2. Maintaining Depositors:
* Ensure depositors are maintained in top condition through regular inspections and maintenance activities.
* Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks and maintain detailed records.
* Acquire familiarity with spare parts inventory for timely replacements.
3. Maintenance of High Care Equipment:
* Maintain slicers, bag fillers, bag sealers, and other High Care equipment in optimal condition.
* Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance tasks and keep thorough records.
* Ensure spare parts availability for efficient repairs and replacements.
4. Training and Support:
* Train superusers on equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
* Assess superuser training effectiveness and stand in for superusers when necessary.
* Provide training to line feeders, operators, and washroom staff on Riggs depositor operation and cleaning protocols.
5. Machinery Defect Reporting:
* Promptly report any defects or malfunctions in machinery to Production Managers for timely resolution.
6. Metal Detector Maintenance:
* Maintain metal detectors in optimal working condition to ensure product safety and quality standards.
7. High Care Tools Management:
* Keep High Care tools and toolboxes clean and secure.
* Conduct weekly stock checks and maintain accurate records of High Care tools.
8. Involvement in Lean Projects:
* Participate in Lean projects aimed at improving operational efficiency and reducing waste.
9. Collaboration with Engineering and QA Teams:
* Collaborate with BMF Engineering team on approved projects as requested by Production Managers.
* Work with QA team to address High Care fabrication, glass, and Perspex issues.
10. Continuous Improvement:
* Identify areas for improvement in equipment performance and operational processes.
* Communicate improvement ideas and suggestions to Production Managers.
11. Regular Meetings:
* Meet with Production Managers weekly to discuss equipment and training-related issues.
12. Audit Preparedness:
* Ensure all High Care equipment is audit-ready on audit days by maintaining proper documentation and adherence to standards.
13. Ad Hoc Responsibilities:
* Handle any other reasonable requests assigned by Production Managers to support production operations.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Experience in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
* Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve electrical issues efficiently.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Knowledge of Lean principles and experience with continuous improvement projects is preferred.
* Familiarity with High Care equipment and food safety standards are advantageous.
