Support Worker - Care for Individuals
We are recruiting Support Workers to join a dedicated team in Kilcullen, Kildare. Our clients provide support services for adults with physical and intellectual disabilities, autism, and other needs, helping them live an ordinary life in a community-based environment.
About the Role
* This is a full-time permanent position offering competitive salary with Sunday and Bank Holiday premiums.
You will be working across 12 residential communities and 4-day services nationwide, providing person-centred care that transforms lives. The ideal candidate will have experience working with vulnerable adults or individuals with intellectual disabilities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
1. Hold a minimum of a Level 7 on the QQI Framework – BA in Social Care Studies or equivalent qualification in Health or Social Care.
2. Have at least one year's experience working with vulnerable adults or adults with intellectual disabilities.
3. Strong working knowledge of legislation protecting vulnerable adults.
4. A full, clean manual driver's license and availability of own car for this post.
5. An understanding of current policy developments in relation to Social Care within disability services.
6. An ability to follow, evaluate and contribute to further development of plans and methods to meet ongoing needs of individuals supported.
7. Effective interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
8. Proficient IT skills relevant to the role, including Microsoft Office Excel, Word, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams.
