We are currently seeking Senior Cardiac and Respiratory Physiologists to join reputable hospitals in Dublin and Westmeath, Ireland. Key Responsibilities For Cardiac Physiologist: Conduct and supervise a full range of invasive and non-invasive cardiac diagnostic tests, including ECG, Holter/BP monitoring, Stress ECG, pacemaker/ICD follow-ups, angiography, and electrophysiology studies. Ensure accurate interpretation of diagnostic results and effective communication with consultants, GPs, and multidisciplinary teams. Maintain departmental records, oversee equipment maintenance, and ensure compliance with HIQA and hospital standards. Participate in developing cardiology policies, staff training, and continuous quality improvement initiatives. Deputise for the Chief Physiologist and assist with departmental management duties when required. For Respiratory Physiologist: Perform and interpret a full range of respiratory investigations, including spirometry, diffusion studies, lung volumes, bronchoprovocation challenges, allergy testing, and sleep studies (polysomnography and CPAP titration). Maintain accurate patient records and provide clear communication regarding test procedures and outcomes. Lead quality control and infection prevention processes, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and data protection. Participate in clinical audits, multidisciplinary case discussions, and service development initiatives. Mentor junior staff and students, promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional excellence. Requirements BSc in Clinical Measurement / Medical Physics & Physiological Measurement (from TU Dublin, DIT, or equivalent recognised qualification). Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience in either Cardiac or Respiratory departments. Experience in Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory, Cardiac Pacing, or Respiratory/Sleep Laboratory is essential. Advanced Life Support certification (for Cardiac role).
