The HR Manager is a key role within the organisation, responsible for theday to daymanagement of the HR function.
You willsupport the COOin developing insightful analysis to support HR strategy development, solutions and advice while supporting the long-term human strategy goals of the organisation.
You will work with leaders across the organisation to enhance employee engagement and foster a positive work environment.You will lead,manageand support team members in initiatives that promote successful business operations, performance management and employee engagement ensuringemployeeshave a positive,inclusiveand enriching experience within the team.
Job Description Work with theCOOensuring highly qualified employees are recruited,developedand motivated to achieveshort and long-term business goals.
Provide insightonHR processes andprocedures and manage theiradministration and implementationincluding performancemanagementappraisals, performance recognition, and compensation and benefit plans.
Conduct HR performance appraisals with members of the team working closely with the various department leaders supporting performance.Embody the importance of leadership and employee engagementthat fosters professional growth and developsexpertise.
Assistin the articulation of the values and culture of the organisation.
Ensure adherence to the Employee Handbook, updating policies and procedures thatcomply withemployment law and best practice.
Support the recruitment process including the production of job descriptions, advertising positions on job boards, shortlisting applications, conducting first interviews and facilitating and supporting second interviews.
Confirmjob offers (and rejections whereappropriate)andissue employment contract agreements.
Ensurethe effective running ofhealthcareand pensionservicesusingexternal providers.
Gather personal informationand share team updates with the COO for payroll and pension purposes.
Seekprofessional legal support from external legal counsel as required onemployment laws and regulations to mitigate legal risks and ensure compliance.
Advise and support Directors and Managers with grievances, disciplinary procedures, absencemanagementand performance management cases.
Work withDirectors and Managerstoanticipateoridentifyhuman resource problemsand provide leadership and support in resolving conflict and finding workable solutions.
Coach Directors and Managers on HR procedures and challenge any non-compliance.
Coordinate with and escalate matters to the COO.
Support the on-boarding and off-boarding of teammembersworking with the various Directors,Managers and other stakeholders asrequired.
Provide regular updates on HR activitiesto senior management andthe boardincludingemployee engagement,recruitmentinitiativesand other keyHRmetrics.
Maintain manual and digital records for all employees starters, leavers, time and attendance, etc.
Actively manage sickness absences includingadherence to the notification procedures, the collection of supportingdocumentation anddecisions aroundsick pay.
