Job Description
At Crescent Infrastructure, we have a number of opportunities in 2026 for Data Technicians and Senior Data Technicians to work on projects in Ireland. As a Data Technician you will lead the installation, testing, and commissioning of Cat6/Cat6A and fibre optic cabling systems across a range of operational settings. This role involves taking responsibility for on‑site coordination, mentoring less experienced technicians, and ensuring that work is delivered to a consistently high standard. A strong working knowledge of network infrastructure, combined with a proactive and organised approach, is essential.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead installation and testing of Cat6, Cat6A, and/or fibre optic cabling across a variety of environments.
* Interpret technical drawings and method statements to plan and execute work effectively.
* Act as a point of contact for Chargehands and Foremen.
* Ensure full compliance with Health and Safety standards and site protocols.
* Mentor and support junior team members, ensuring quality and consistency in their work.
Essential Requirements
* Significant experience installing and testing copper and fibre cabling, ideally within data centres or similarly complex environments.
* Proven ability to work independently.
* Strong understanding of Health and Safety procedures in construction or technical environments.
* Full driving licence, own transport, and flexibility to travel between project sites.
* Must have a current Safe Pass or be willing to get one before commencing employment.
* Certification in Working at Heights, Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWP) or Hoist Operator training is an advantage but not essential.
