Role Overview
This position supports the Assistant Financial Controller in managing the financial reporting and forecasting process.
The role involves ownership of several key financial operations, reporting, and compliance activities, with regular interaction across multiple business functions.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Assistant Financial Controller in monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting and forecasting.
Assist in the preparation of financial reports for senior management.
Conduct financial analysis, including reviewing monthly results and investigating variances.
Manage liquidity, treasury, and working capital analysis, forecasting, and reporting.
Take ownership of expense reporting processes and procedures.
Support external audit activities and statutory account preparation.
Ensure compliance with tax and statutory obligations.
Act as a finance business partner, collaborating with internal stakeholders across departments.
Provide support to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll functions.
Maintain and develop relationships with customers and vendors.
Complete timely bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations.
Process relevant journals to ensure month-end completeness and accuracy.
Support external financial filings and reporting (e.g., CSO, Revenue).
Assist with cashflow forecasting and management.
Maintain the Fixed Asset Register, including additions and disposals.
Provide administrative support aligned with role responsibilities.
Provide cover for weekly payroll when required.
Candidate Profile
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficient in financial systems and Microsoft Office applications (particularly Excel).
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and manage multiple priorities.
