Your role will be to oversee and direct all claims operations within the Company, ensuring effective and efficient claims management, upholding NorthStandard's commitment to superior service, integrity, and compliance.Please note that due to regulatory requirements, you must be permanently based in Ireland.Key ResponsibilitiesFunctional leadership: Oversee claims processes and performance, ensuring quality service and cost-effectiveness. Monitor risks and drive improvements. Support development of claims guidelines and procedures.Governance: Serve on the NSEU Executive Committee, Claims Leadership Team, and other relevant committees.Data Analysis: Review claims data to align with company strategies.Reporting: Provide claims performance reports to senior management and collaborate with group claims leadership.Relationship Management: Build relationships with members and brokers, support marketing, and promote offerings.Operational Development: Develop claims operations and resources.Exemplify Principles: Demonstrate NorthStandard Principles in performance and culture.People Leadership: Mentor and train the claims team in Ireland.Regulatory: Fulfill regulatory responsibilities as specified.Skills / Qualifications / ExperienceLaw degree or equivalent legal qualification, with 5 years PQE preferred.Experience in the maritime insurance industry, especially P&I or related fields.Knowledge of claims processes, products, and policies.Excellent communication, relationship management, and organizational skills.Salary: Competitive, dependent on experienceThe CompanyNorthStandard is a leading marine insurer in the International Group, committed to diversity, inclusion, and excellence.
