A leading Irish construction contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of large-scale construction projects across Cork and surrounding regions.

The successful candidate will take full responsibility for project delivery from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the planning and execution of construction projects from inception to handover
Develop and manage project programmes, sequencing strategies, and site logistics plans
Coordinate closely with design consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of information and resolution of technical issues
Chair project coordination and progress meetings with key stakeholders
Monitor project performance through reporting, risk management, and programme tracking
Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are delivered efficiently and in line with specifications
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, building regulations, and industry best practices
Work collaboratively with commercial teams on budgeting, forecasting, procurement, and cost management
Support subcontractor procurement, package negotiation, and tender evaluations
Maintain the highest standards of Health & Safety across all project activities
Act as the main point of contact for clients, consultants, and regulatory bodies
Provide regular progress updates and performance reporting to senior management
Lead and mentor site teams, engineers, and project staff to drive high performance and successful project outcomes
Requirements
5+ years’ experience in a Project Manager role with a main contractor
Proven experience delivering medium to large-scale construction projects
Degree qualified in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
Strong understanding of modern construction methods, Irish building regulations, BCAR, and Health & Safety legislation
Excellent commercial awareness with experience managing project budgets and contracts
Proficiency with project management and construction software platforms
Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
