Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for leading the financial management of key projects, ensuring robust cost control and commercial reporting.
This role requires a commercially astute individual with strong reporting and financial analysis skills, as well as excellent knowledge of PWC and RIAI forms of contract. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field and a minimum of 5 years post-graduate experience, preferably in main contracting.
The successful candidate will be able to manage subcontractor accounts and negotiate contract terms, while also providing contractual advice and ensuring full compliance with relevant frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the financial management of key projects
* Liaise with the Commercial Manager on budgeting, forecasting, and financial strategy
* Manage subcontractor packages, including tendering, valuations, and payment cycles
* Oversee monthly cost reporting, cashflow forecasting, and risk/value management
* Support and guide junior team members
* Provide contractual advice and ensure compliance with PWC and RIAI contract frameworks
Requirements
* Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related field
* Minimum 5 years post-graduate experience, preferably in main contracting
* Proven ability to manage subcontractor accounts and negotiate contract terms
* Commercially astute with strong reporting and financial analysis skills
* Excellent knowledge of PWC and RIAI forms of contract
* Proficiency in Excel and estimation software
