Toolmaker Position
We are seeking a skilled Toolmaker to join our team in Galway. As a permanent employee, you will play a critical part in precision machining, tooling, and automation support.
In this role, you'll work with cutting-edge CNC machining, EDM wire erosion, and surface grinding technologies while collaborating with a high-performing team in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manufacture precision machined parts using EDM wire erosion, CNC milling, lathes, and surface grinders.
* Interpret SolidWorks drawings and technical specifications to fabricate components.
* Collaborate with automation engineers and production teams to optimize part design and modifications.
* Perform high-precision wiring tasks, ensuring components meet exact specifications.
* Conduct quality checks to ensure compliance with GMP and ISO standards.
* Prepare parts for anodising and assist in mechanical assembly during machine builds.
* Perform daily maintenance on toolroom machinery to ensure optimal performance.
* Work closely with designers to validate the fit and function of machined parts.
Requirements:
* 3-5 years' experience as a Toolmaker in a precision engineering or medical device setting.
* Strong expertise in EDM wire erosion and CNC machining.
* Proficiency in 3D CAM software (AutoDesk Fusion) and interpreting technical drawings.
* Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards.
* Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Craft & Toolmaking or equivalent qualification.
