A fast-growing environmental testing company is seeking a high-performing
Business Development Manager
to drive market share growth across soil, water, air, and asbestos testing services in Ireland. This is a hands-on, hunter role for a professional who combines technical expertise with strong commercial acumen and excels at building long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify, generate, and qualify new business opportunities through strategic outreach and client engagement
Manage the full sales cycle—prepare quotations, negotiate contracts, and close deals
Retain and grow a portfolio of key accounts, ensuring sustainable revenue growth
Develop and execute account strategies to capture 20–25% market share in target segments
Maintain accurate pipeline data and provide regular reports via CRM
Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new growth opportunities
Qualifications and Experience:
3–5 years' technical experience in environmental testing (soil, water, asbestos, or air)
Proven success in customer-facing and sales roles with strong communication skills
Hands-on, proactive approach—comfortable with outbound prospecting, cold calling, and frequent travel (3–4 days/week)
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field; MBA a plus
