Job Title: Aerial Structure Project Manager
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Aerial Structure Project Manager to oversee the construction of a new aircraft hangar. This is a full-time role that requires immediate attention.
The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in overseeing large industrial projects, with expertise in structural steel buildings and civil works. Experience with similar large-scale projects will be highly beneficial.
As the Aerial Structure Project Manager, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that the project is completed as designed, approved, and instructed. You will be responsible for ensuring that the contractor fulfills all their obligations under the contract.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Project Oversight: Ensure the project is completed in accordance with the requirements and that the contractor carries out all their obligations under the contract.
* Staff Supervision: Keep other site supervisory staff informed on matters that may influence their work.
* Documentation: Maintain a comprehensive diary constituting a detailed work history of construction work and significant happenings on the site.
* Quality Assurance: Ensure that all day work records and all variations from specifications are approved and documented prior to execution.
* Record Keeping: Keep records of all information relating to delays, industrial disputes, adverse physical conditions, and disputes with sub-contractors and landowners.
* Meetings: Attend regular site meetings with other necessary site supervisory staff as required, and ensure that proceedings are minuted for circulation to all relevant personnel.
* Health & Safety: Monitor health and safety policies and standards on the construction site, ensuring all activities comply with relevant legislation and regulations.
In addition to these responsibilities, you will also be expected to maintain clear and effective communication with the employer's representative, project manager, and other stakeholders, keeping them informed of all issues arising on site.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
* Chartered Engineer with IEI chartership.
* Extensive experience in structural steel buildings and civil works.
* Experience with large industrial units or similar type buildings.
* Knowledge and awareness of health and safety legislation and regulations.
