The SBCI currently provides funding and guarantees to a range of finance providers to support the provision of long-term low-cost credit to SMEs in Ireland. The SBCI continues to develop its range of financial supports to address market failures in the Irish credit market. Role Summary T he SBCI gathers data on the underlying SME loans to ensure they meet certain criteria, to provide data to its key partners at a European and National level and to develop appropriate analytics and insights to support the management of the SBCI and the development of new products. The SBCI requires an Analyst to support the Data Analysis & Reporting Team in coordinating the gathering of data from the financial providers, flow through of the data and reports to the SBCI's key partners and assisting the Data Analysis & Reporting Manager with the of operational support in the team. Principal Accountabilities The role will include but is not limited to: Assistant in the preparation of scheduled internal and external reporting. Gathering and consolidation of data from the finance providers and getting it ready for review e.g., performing various data cleansing and transformation activities, reconciliation of data. Maintain a strong focus on data accuracy and quality, identifying data quality issues and resolving discrepancies with the data owners. Act as a point of contact for queries from the data teams of the key stakeholders (i.e., the finance provider's and our European partners), building and maintaining strong relationships with those stakeholders. Proactively respond to queries from the key stakeholders with attention to accuracy and detail. Ensuring all queries are promptly addressed or escalated accordingly. Preparation of meeting notes and progressing any outstanding actions. Provide a d hoc reports and data analysis as and when requested. Work collaboratively with other support services functions of the SBCI that are engaged in the loan scheme projects e.g., NTMA IT, NTMA Legal as appropriate. The SBCI operates with a small and focused team, which means that flexibility is required from all team members to contribute to efforts beyond their specific areas of responsibility when necessary. All team members are expected to participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives within the SBCI and with external stakeholders. Experience / Qualification Third Level qualification (diploma or degree level) with credit, banking, finance, business or other relevant discipline, or equivalent professional qualification. Minimum 2 years' experience working in a relevant role within a similar environment. Strong proficiency in Excel (e.g., advanced formula, pivot tables, data validation). Creation of data extracts from an Azure database via SQL. Ability to develop, maintain and enhance reporting dashboards in Power BI or other similar visualisation tools. Skills Problem solving and analytical skills, with a good attention to detail. Good interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to deal with diverse audiences and all levels of stakeholders. Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently. Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative in a proactive manner. High energy individual with the ability to work in fast paced changing environment.
