Summary
SAP Concur is seeking a Senior Product Marketing Manager to join our team focused on developing go-to-market strategies, messaging and positioning, and working cross functionally to drive initiatives, to support our respective businesses, and achieve pipeline objectives. This individual will develop a strong understanding of the competitive landscape, customer needs, white space, and product/solution value, ensuring that new and existing products and solutions are positioned to optimize global success. They act as an expert and are recognized as a thought leader and evangelist inside SAP influencing internal solution innovations, core marketing strategies and company perception. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Global Product Marketing this person will work closely with multiple organizations within SAP and SAP Concur, including regional product marketing, marketing, sales, client success, services and product management teams.
Responsibilities
Market and Business Situation - Understand the market economics, whitespace and opportunities, and (global) business objectives.
Inbound Influence on Product Development - Provide market insights to drive product inputs and customer outcomes, serving as an advocate for the customer.
Strategic Planning - Contribute to marketing business planning based on corporate priorities and whitespace opportunities. Deliver recommendations to the field.
Product Marketing – Ensure market and portfolio positioning and fit, contribute to pricing and packaging and drive the overall go-to-market strategy for new and existing solutions. Contribute to Integrated Marketing Management on program build through messaging, positioning, content, and respective solution/industry expertise. Contribute the context including some high-level ecosystem insights.
Core Content Development - Act as subject matter specialist, collaborating with Ecosystem & Channel Marketing to define (joint) offerings, positioning, and messaging that will be integrated into marketing programs and campaigns.
Influencer/ Analyst Management - Perform certain activities to support strategy/interaction with market stakeholders such as Analyst Relations, Public Relations, and other communication channels (i.e. social media) to deliver thought leadership messages into the market. (Note: Direct relationships with analysts and press are owned by the Analyst Relations and Public Relations teams, not by Product Marketing.)
Thought Leadership and Communication - With guidance, serve as a public voice to the market, and act as a solution evangelist.
Develop Core Assets and Offers - Develop certain customer facing assets and ensure respective rollout and availability to marketing program managers and execution teams.
Sales Enablement – Partner with sales enablement to provide support (i.e. messaging, deal cycle, analysis, etc.) to sales teams.
Independently assess, analyze, and evaluate messages and market reactions (i.e. via social media channels) to optimize marketing strategies and influence communication.

Role Requirements
Minimum 4-7 years of related experience
Project leadership (medium to large-scaled projects)
Supporting organizational change
Guiding and mentoring peers and/or junior level colleagues
Advanced technical or business skills and special knowledge in one / several areas
individuals with a customer focus and have developed the acumen to cultivate and develop lasting customer relations
Bachelor's degree or equivalent required
